I have read all the info about upgrading the HDD on my Hdvr2. I am still alittle confused.

Is there a Hdvr2 upgrade for dummies out there??

I know how to pull the drive, I just need the following info.

1. when I hook up drive to PC is this correct

IDE1 Master my pc drive
IDE1 slave my new 120 gig drive
IDE2 Master my old Tivo drive
IDE2 slave CD-ROM

2. What is the correct command to run once I have booted MFS 2.0 tools. I have seen 80 different command lines in these treads for the HDVR2 and I am confused.

Thanks for any help you can give.

You want to backup your old drive and restore to the new drive.

mfsbackup .... /dev/hdc

and

mfsrestore .... /dev/hdb

As for the correct command lines, I used the ones in Ingineer's post this weekend and it worked perfectly.

I thought there was a process of hooking up the new 120 gig drive and your old Tivo drive and doing a full copy of system, shows, and season passes?

If I have to do it this way then I will but I thought that there is an easier way.

I don't need to have a bash #
