I just got my TiVo for Christmas and am very excited! I have been plowing through these messages for two days and setting my TiVo. Now I know when the Shield comes on! Great show! Thank you! Nice to meet you all.:)

Yes, The Shield is a great show. Season 1 comes out on DVD the same day season two premiers, in case you didn't know.

Now, can anyone explain to me why Boomtown -- the best new show of the season -- is going on hiatus? Can't NBC pull some other show from it's schedule to make room for "Kingpin" in February? Aarrgh! :mad:

Re: The Shield DVD

Do you know how long it usually takes for Blockbuster or Hollywood Video to starting renting the DVDs? I started recording the marathon on FX. However, the first three episodes messed up on me - halfway through the pilot the channel changed (I think I accidentally hit my cable box remote) and then on the second episode my IR blaster didn't change to the right channel. Very frustrating. Anyway, this foiled my attempt to try to catch up (or at least get close) for the premiere because I don't want to watch the episodes out of order. I just need the first three episodes.
