I of course have "TIVO" as one of my keyword wishlists, and 2 weekends in a row it's recorded a "TiVo Paid Program" consisting of a few animated shorts. They look to be computer animated, and feature animals such as cats, birds, and fish doing marginally amusing things.

It DOES say that it's TiVo sponsored at the beginning of the show, but I fail to see what it has to do with TiVo, or why they wouldn't keep showing their new infomercial rather than this show.

Any insights?

I've recorded it twice now. The first time I deleted it when (at fast forward) it didn't look like it had anything to do with TiVo. This week I decided I'd watch the short films and realized it IS sponsored by TiVo.

Typical short film stuff: some were funny, some were a waste. At about 15 minutes (half way) the little TiVo thing that lets you automatically setup a recording (Tivomatic?) went by. I'm setup to get next week's now too.

I don't know WHY they're doing it, but the cookie one (the two old folks) was worth the price of admission... :-)
