Been at this for far too long - the girlfriend is packing her things..
I have my C drive hooked up as primary master and my tivo drive set as secondary master.
my image is saved in the c drive as HDR122.30.mfs
at the # of mfs 2.0 i type
mkdir /mnt/c --------------------------says file exists
then I type mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/c
then ls /mnt/c ------------------------and my image is there
then mfsrestore -xzpi /mnt/c/HDR122.30.mfs /dev/hdc
---and it says restore failed file : is a directory
I don't know how to fix this problem.... Please help before I am single again..

Hi
At the point where you type your ls /mnt/c, instead type
ls -F /mnt/c
This will list a symbol at the end of each file name. If a slash "/" is after the name, the this IS a directory and not a file. You may find that the file you want is inside that directory. Directory in linux is the same as folder in Windows, just to clear up the terminology.
If so, do an
ls /mnt/c/HDR122.30.mfs and it will list the file names inside that directory. That name is what you use in the command
Thus, the command would start
mfsrestore -s 127 -xzpi /mnt/c/HDR122.30.mfs/xxxxx
where xxxx is the filename.
Your example appears similar to the well-known standard image for an HDR112 with 3.0 software that is floating around. That is distributed in WinRAR format and upon expansion by the utility puts the file inside a folder. If you downloaded this image from an FTP site and expanded with WinRAR you could have set up this condition for yourself.

Now it says "restore failed First target drive too small"
What does that mean?

That sounds like your TiVo drive is locked. See the Hinsdale How-To for the qunlock procedure.

I cannot figure out how to make the boot disk!
AHHH!
I have accessed command.com
It is in c:\windows\system32\command.com
I cannot figure out how to make the boot disk. I formatted the disk, but from there, I am lost..
I am so close to finishing, I can taste it..

If you used the -s 127 parameter that I had on my mfsrestore command line, that would tip you over the top if the disk you are restoring the image onto is 14GB. Remove the -s 127 but leave the rest and you will probably get a good restore.
