How to view the MFSTools report?

I am considering upgrading my 40hr TiVo, and downloaded the MFSTools file, created a boot floppy and re-booted my PC just to see if I could get that far. (In other words, I have not done anything with any hardware at this point.) The PC booted up fine, gave me a diagnostic report and then the # prompt. When I used Shft-Page Up repeatedly to review the report, I could not see a line reporting the size of hda (my PC's hard drive). I re-booted, and watched the report as it was being generated, and I could see displayed momentarily a line with the hda size. But when the diagnostics completed, I again tried the shft-page up command, and again I could not find the line with the hda size. I know it is there, but I cannot get it to reappear on my screen. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure that you look REALLY closely at each page of info as you hit shft-page up. It only scrolls 1/2 page at a time, which always throws me off, since I tend to expect a full page scroll...

Mike is correct. I ran into this problem about a week ago when I did my most recent upgrade. Mike, if you can get the cd image and boot it, the drive information will still be there when you shift+pageup. Otherwise your going to have to look fast during the boot itself and perhaps boot a couple of times to get all the drive sizes and locations written down.

Thanks for the replies. Since my dvd drive is read-only, I guess I will have to look fast.

Just type:
dmesg |more
This will show you all the startup messages.

Success! Thanks so much. Now on to the actual upgrade (once I pick up a large capacity hard drive).
