Hi, Today I received my 109 hour upgrade that I purchased from you for $200. I have tried to install it today into my Philips Direct TV Tivo, with no success.

I tried to do 2 things, one was to install the new hard drive as the A drive , w/o the old drive in the unit, and when that did not work, I tried to install the new drive as A, while putting the old drive in the B slot. This did not work either. In both cases, the system just got hung up on the "powering up" message on the screen.

After failing at both attempts, I put my old drive back in and it is working fine. BIG PROBLEM is that I want to upgrade my Tivo and I am back to square one.

What did I do wrong?

Please help me!

Sorry for being such a bone head on first post...I copied my email to amblertech support. No answer from them, so I am looking for help here, see thread below. My mistake was when I mentioned the $200 for unit bought from Amblertech. Still, any help on a proper installation?
