HBO has announced that after the upcoming season (Season 6), Sex and the City will be retired.
There will be 12 episodes in the summer, and then 8 episodes next January/Febuary. After that, there will be no more Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, or Charlotte.

Heard that on the radio this morning. So in the span of several months, HBO will be losing Sex and the City, Oz and the Sopranos. Be interesting to see what they come out with to replace these.

They got "The Wire", "Six Feet Under"
Also Sopranos wont be on for much longer either.

And they recently lost Dennis Miller and Arli$$.

That's fine by me. There's no sense in driving a good thing into the ground (like the networks do).

Sopranos will be back for a 5th season.

And possibly a sixth... depending on the direction the show goes creatively in the fifth season, Chase said he'd be open to the idea of yet another year.
