Watched last nite's show with my wife, and certainly it had it's share of shock value in full force last nite.

But, it seems from quick observation, that not many folks are watching, or at least not discussing this show much.

Several things in last nite's show would seem to topics for discussion, but not finding much currently, which is I why the thread title was in the form of a question.

In anycase, here's some spoilers for discussion later, but for now, please keep spoilers tagged, so that someone that hasn't seen the show yet won't have it spoiled in advance.

Thanks

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Kerry losing the baby. Had to expect it, since you wouldn't think they'd want to have yet another baby introduced to the cast, and/or general story lines. It's enough currently to deal with Dr. Greene's left behind youngster.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
The gun that Dr. Pratt had. You have to expect that may come up later on, when the 'gun owners' come back to get it from him at the hospital. Gotta give him credit for trying to take care of his 'brother', but perhaps the best answer is to get him out of the area and away from the trouble makers. The current situation is fairly realistic though, since it's not always easy to implement such solutions, since housing would have to be found, which might not be affordable, etc.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
What are they trying to do with Kovatch {spelling?} Are they trying to take the George Clooney path - tear him down as far as you can, then turn him into a hero?

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
The old man with the very hot young wife was too funny. That 'When can I .... her?' was just a hoot. But again, seemed to be a story line added just for shock value

That should be enough to open up some discussion.

I have lost interest in ER. I still have a SP for it, and still watch it, but only when I am bored or not in the mood for anything else in Now Playing.
From all the spoiler tags in your post it looks like quite a bit went on last night. Guess I may have to watch it tonight. :)

I still watch. Have a SP for it, and watch it live when I travel Liek last night

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

Did Harkins die from the car wreck in the previous epsiode?? They never showed her dying, and didn't mention it all last night. But she was not on. I'm really bummed that she is gone.

I use to like ER, but over the past couple of seasons it has taken on too much of a soap opera style. The hindsight episode from a few weeks ago was too meaningless (I watched it last night). It would have been better straight-forward. I have subsequent episodes recorded and will watch them as cold weather forces me to watch more Tivo.

I hope they get back to medicine real soon.

<Spoiler question snipped>

I'm not sure of the answer to the question you raise, but I have the same hope, as I really feel the same way.

I don't remember that question really being answered (on the show), but maybe I just missed it?!

Great, it hadnt been on for so long I forgot last night was going to be a new one. I usually watch ER and TIVO Without a Trace.

Anyone out there have a copy of ER: A Little Help From My Friends 1/09/03 that they can upload as a vcd somewhere? I do have a fast connection, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brett

Harkins did not die. Gallent mentioned that he was helping her keep up with her studies.

She seems to be recovering. Gallant mentioned taking her readings to her at the top of the show.

I still watch it and I still like it but I don't think that it's been as good as it was during the glory years. I did like the arc they had with Don Chedle though.
However, I think that last night's episode was a step in the right direction though.
I especially appreciate the growth Carter has had over the years.
However,
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

the whole thing with Kovach had been making me go "didn't we already see this with Doug Ross?"
And I will scream if they repeat the Ross-Harper-Carter thing with Kovach-Harkins-Gallant.

but Sherry Stringfield still has a beautiful face ;)

ER has always been pretty much a soap opera. I've been watching the 2 episodes/day reruns of it on TNT since shortly before they cycled back to episode 1 last August or September.

It was pretty cool the way the last few episodes with Dr. Greene repeated some of the lines ("you set the tone") said by different characters in the first few episodes. I'll be glad when they this cycle finishes and I'll no long feel compelled to watch every episode.
