I just upgraded my Tivo S2 40 gb, #230040, with a Samsung 120gb, #SV1204H hard drive. I used MFS Tools 2.0 to a bootable CD with the -s 127 command without a problem. I did have a little problem with the jumper setting of the Samsung. Attached is the jumper setting sheet that came with the drive - I circled the settings I used. Thanks to Tiger, Hinsdale, and the Tivo Community.

I did not add a 2nd drive - when do you think that we can be certain that the Tivo S2 40 gb can handle an A and B hard drive?
