Need help formatting hard drive

I recently purchased a 100gb drive to upgrade my Series 1 DirecTivo (Hughes). However, my PC at home has been acting up and I am unsure about using it for the upgrade.

Does anyone know of any services out there that I can send the drive to to have it formatted? If so, how much am I looking at spending??
