Has this ever happened to you? I used http_get to download and install TiVoWeb and TiVoftp. I FTPed some other utilities and hacks, and when i unplugged my TiVo and re-plugged it in again, they were GONE!! the whole directory was GONE!!

any idea where the files and directories went? I can still telnet into TiVo, but for some reason i just cant seem to find my files!!

any suggestions??

If you just put them in something under "/var" (i.e. not in a seperate filesystem), they probably got whacked when TiVo deceided to rebuild the /var partition at startup. This is a fairly common occurance.

Best thing is to make a seperate partition to put the hacks in, then mount it on /var/hack.

can you point me to a "how-to" guide for how to make a new partition? I'm not the biggest Linux guy (but TiVo is forcing me to learn!)
