I own a TiVo in which has a lifetime subscription. My understanding is that the LS is tied to the unit. I assume this means should someone else own the unit the LS will travel with it. How do I go about getting this unit and it's accompanying LS in someone else's name?

You can call TiVo support and tell them exactly what you posted; they will make the change. But on the other hand, if you are just giving it to a famliy member, there's no pressing need to wait on hold for 20 minutes. The box will continue to work forever no matter what, and no tivo bill ever has to be paid for a lifetime box anyway.
