Been doing a lot of reading on this site before jumping in this weekend with the purchase of my first HDVR2.
The one question I have at this point is what the heck does it mean when someone "BUMPS" a posting??
OK, I actually have a lot of other technical questions, but I know better than to just start posting stuff that can be found by searching previous posts.

It causes the thread to rise back to the top of list. Usually it's because he asked a question that no one has answered and he hopes someone will see it if he bumps it up.

um when a post has gone to the second page or lower and someone doesnt have anything to contribute but wants it to go back up they tipiclly "bump" it
on some forums you see interesting bumps also like:
*hits thread with a bat sending it all the way to the top of the forum*
