Seems to me, from the Shield 2x01 thread, that we could use a place to discuss Season 1 and the DVD set, so here we go!

When watching the DVDs, don't overlook the deleted scenes on the last disc. There are about half an hour's worth, and manyof them are very very good--I regret the showmakers' lack of discipline, because some of these scenes really should have been in the show, but had to be cut for time.

And I was very impressed with the last scene, which is the unedited, six-minute take of Vic's breakdown at the end of the finale. Although it really is too long, it also does a much better job than the edited version of showing the progression of what Vic is going through emotionally. It's too bad this was the last take of the last shot of the season; it would have been great if they could have reshot the scene to get the same effect in a shorter time.
