AitNET and HPNA

I would like to connect my SAT-T60 to my HPNA network. My preferance would be to not use a HPNA to ethernet bridge. So my question is - does anyone have information about using an AirNET (http://www.9thtee.com/tivoairnet.htm) with a PCMCIA HPNA card (http://www.linksys.com/products/pro...rid=193&grid=34)?

Looks like I need to go at this from a different direction.

I assume that the AirNET adapter is a (fairly) standard ISA to PCMCIA converter and that the drivers are available to make it work under linuxPPC (obviously). Are these drivers loaded as a kernel module or are they user space? Are the drivers for the wireless card the standard from linux, or are they rewritten?

I don't have much experience with linuxPPC (and none on the Tivo), but I have quite a bit of experience with the x86 version.

Hi,

I hadn't thought about other cards much but, depending on the card, it could be possible with custom drivers.

The card that you have linked to is a CardBus card (PCI-like), not a PCMCIA card (ISA-like).

Most laptops support PCMCIA and CardBus so most people don't need to worry about the difference.

The Tivo does not support PCI or CardBus.
