I was wondering if I can hook up my TIVO to my home network AND
Select my programming via web?

Certainly, tivoweb is what you need, but I am not sure about it functioning on Series 2.
What version of tivo do you have?

The bad news is htat you have a newer Series Two tivo, why is that bad you ask?, As a relative newbie, I haven't seen much on the hacking front. Meaning I am not sure you can install any of the add ons for such features on the series 2. the good news is that the newer tivos come with those features built in, but they won't be available till april. You will need a USB ethernet adaptor for the network connection. Now for the other bad news, those features will cost you $99 bucks. You will be able to play mp3's, show photos on your tivo, and access it via the web.
