TurboNet not getting IP

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have a original Phillips Tivo, with a single 30g HD, running software 2.5.1-01-1-000 and installed a TurboNet card. I followed stevejenkins FirstTimeHack guide and all seemed to go well. However, on dial out, I get a Failed to Connect message. Its as if the turboNet card is not getting an IP. I'm using a Linksys Router, and have tested the cables and the port to make sure DHCP is running. When I boot Tivo, the turbonet card blinks green 3 times, then stays a solid green. If I connect Tivo directly to the cable modem, I get a steady blinking green light the whole time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

2.5.1?! Not that I can speak for all the members of this board, but I don't think you'll find anyone receptive to help you with an xtremed box.

Oops -- I didn't read the original post carefully enough. I encountered similar symptoms, but my Tivo is running v3.0 software

I finally got it working. I had omitted installing the drivers for the NIC since I was originally using 2.5- my box went out in June, before 3.0. So after I installed the NIC software, it upgraded to 3.0, and all went well.

Hey, sorry for the flame. Guess there is another way to have 2.5.1. Didn't think of that. Very brave of you to start hacking before running it for a while. Glad to hear it worked out for you.
