Saw the preview for kingpin, upcoming show on NBC i believe. What do you all think of it from the commercial. From what I see i think it looks good, sort of like mexican version of sopranos. should be a good one, i love any type of mafia or cartel shows.

I a lil apprehensive about this actually.

I know its from the director of the Sopranos but it will be a mistake to try a clone it. I'll give it 2 or 3 episaodes.

If you go to ifilm you can catch the first 8 minutes. Looks pretty good, cinematography reminds me a lot of Boomtown.

In case anyone (else) was wondering, a quick Google search informed me that "the Bravo edition will show in March."

That's at least a month after it airs on NBC. :(

It sounds like they're saying "mas y mas" ("more and more"?).

A quick search turns up a song called "Mas y Mas" by Los Lobos.

Could that be it?

Damn it all to hell this sucks, checked the guide, and both DRAGNET and KINGPiN, are both on same day and SAME time, i guess its time to busy out with the VCR and get it programmed.

We know about the Director's Cut on Bravo in March, but both the Pilot and El Velorio (Episode 2) are also being aired on Bravo on Fri 2/7 9-11 EST. I wonder if that is going to be the Director's Cut? In any case, a Wish List for Title: Kingpin / Crime Drama might iron out any conflicts.

It conflicts with Dragnet with Ed O'Neil and I think I'll like Dragnet better. But then I might like Kingpin better. And it's just tearing me apart!!! ARGH!
