Subject pretty much says it all. I'm most annoyed at the AR4 delay, especially since it's so they can air another series of Star Search.

The decision to keep "Star Search" going means that Wednesday-night reality entry "Amazing Race," which is currently filming its fourth installment, may not return until late spring or summer.

No Mole, no Amazing Race... It's going to be a long spring...

My wife is upset about Presidio Med; she watched it though I didn't and I had set up an SP on it for her.

We will be seeing more CSI though...

quote:
"Queens" aired just three times on Fridays at 10 p.m., attracting 7.1 million viewers. The show had already wrapped production on all 13 episodes of its CBS order. Its slot will be filled with a rotating wheel of "CSI," "CSI: Miami," "Without a Trace" and "48 Hours Investigates."

Yeah great, two nights of stupid Star Search and a delay of AR4. Good job CBS.

Gotta feel sorry for Oliver Platt--this is the second time in recent years that a staring vehicle for him got canned almost right out of the gate. I kinda liked Queens Supreme.

Ugh. I liked Presidio Med, and I love the Amazing Race. Who cares about Star Search!

*Grrrrrr*.

Delaying TAR4 angers Skittles.

It's things like that which make me wonder whether or not CBS employees chimpanzees for their programming department.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of random schmoes singing and becoming famous, that's what American Idol is for. At least there, the host is the true mark of evil.

Am I missing something? I thought Queens was a good show! Who will ever forget Oliver's good dump line. This goes right up there with when they canceled Brooklyn South. A great show that wasn't plugged enough. I will miss Queens and hope that someone else picks it up.

BTW: Does anyone know who sings the shows intro? I think it is the Saw Doctors.

It isn't Warren Zevon? I guess I'd assumed it wasn't a remake but instead a re-mix.

I saw Queen's last week... and enjoyed it. Sorry to see that CBS doesn't feel the same.

As for AR4 - While I enjoy AR, I don't necessarly want it on overload. So... a delay can probably only benefit me watching it.

I liked Queens Supreme. I liked Oliver Platt's last show, Deadline, too. Major bummer.

Yes, the theme song of Queens Supreme is (was) Lawyers, Guns and Money by Warren Zevon, from his 1978 album Excitable Boy.

Deadline was fantastic. I really like Oliver Platt though, so I am biased.

Sigh, more shows getting cancelled in favor of reality garbage.

Time to start digging up the old DVD collection.

Well. Glad to see I'm not the only one out there. I'll miss this one too, and it's obvious I'll never be a programming executive 'cause I have no idea what they're doing.

I didn't even know AR4 was scheduled for this spring...

Have they been doing them twice a year like survivor? I should know this as it is one of my favorite reality shows, but for some reason I don't remember.

Anyways, getting bumped for Star Search is horrible.

AR4 was supposed to start Feb. 26, I'm really disappointed they changed the date. It did seem too good to be true, the last one doesn't seem that long ago.

How could they cancel Queens Supreme so fast? The show is really good. I liked it more than I thought I would. The fact that it's an Aaron Spelling show didn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it would, as well.

This really bites. SO far I've liked all of the midseason replacements more than most of the regular shows.

Pretty much two a year. The first was in the fall of 2001, second spring 2002 and third fall 2002.

I never heard of Queens Supreme!! :( :( I would have watched, I really like Oliver Platt.

Like Presidio Med, also... and don't like having to wait for AR.

Why did they cancel Queens Supreme? They've got 13 episodes so why not air them all? Why instead air a bunch of reruns of shows that people have seen? I hate it when networks do this! If only more people had tivo to stop reruns of the same show throughout the week!

I'm another one who really liked Queens Supreme (esp. Oliver Platt & Anabella Sciorra) and will be very sorry to see it go. Amazing Race is my favorite reality show, so I'm sorry to see it delayed, but I'm just glad we'll get another season.

The networks have cancelled the best new shows I liked this year: That Was Then; Push, Nevada; Firefly; Queens Supreme. The only new shows left that we watch are: Less Than Perfect; Penn & Teller Bull&*%$; Surreal Life and Joe Millionaire (what trash!)

I really like QS, and am another big fan of Oliver Platt. It really irks me that they give these shows all of three weeks to "make it", but crap like Star Search and all of the reality shows go on and on and on.

CBS is the worst about not giving shows a chance...

Sounds like someone needs an Oliver Platt Wishlist. :)

heh, good point... on my way...

According to a wire blurb in the paper this morning, Queens Supreme and Presidio Med have NOT yet been cancelled; they've been pulled for sweeps. "[CBS] officials wouldn't comment on the shows' future beyond that."

So, not good, but not necessarily fatal...yet.
