Screen Shift on Sci Fi

Has anyone else noticed that the picture on SciFi channel is shifted to the right? I have about a one inch black bar down the left side of the screen. All other channels are okay, so it's doubtful that its my RPTV.

I noticed it Monday night watching Stargate SG-1, but it appeared -- I could be wrong -- as if only the content was shifted, not the bug overlay as well.

Yeah, that's what I saw too! The commercials were okay. I also saw it this morning when looking for other examples, it was happening with Dark Shadows. And, it's there right now with Beyond Belief.

The shift could be caused by the Sci-Fi graphic being "keyed" into the program. If the device that generates the graphic and the machine playing the program are not synched up, then that is often an effect that can occur.

FWIW - This has happened with a single episode of Stargate SG-1 before. One of the season 1 episodes I think.
I manually record the entire 4 hour block of episodes that they show on Monday nights. The 1st and 3rd episodes are normal while the 2nd and 4th episodes are shifted to the right. The nightly re-airing of these same episodes are shifted in the same pattern.
This indicates to me that the episodes probably arrived at Sci-Fi that way. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that someone else would notice this and fix it before the episode re-airs.

I always notice sudden shifts in the video on the Lincoln CBS affiliate when they put their local bugs in. Makes me consider switching to TiVoing the Omaha affiliate instead (like I do with ABC, even though local weather blurb often tramples the return of shows from commercials).
