Firefly - I've given up hope ...

'Tis a sad moment, but all the wishing in the world hasn't made new episodes of Firefly appear on my TV. The time has come to dump the episodes of Firefly off the TiVo to SVHS tape, so my "Now Playing" list will cease to cruelly mock me.

What episode order is the correct viewing order (as opposed to the order they were aired - AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THAT SUBJECT!!!!)

Anyone still have "The Train Job" on TiVo? That was the first episode that aired and I non-presciently deleted it after watching when it originally aired ...

Don't give up. The show may be dead, but sci-fi shows have a way of resurfacing. Just look at the Babylon 5 series/spinoffs/telemovies. They're even remaking Battlestar Galactica.

B5 went five years; Firefly didn't make it a dozen episodes.

Just watched the Firefly pilot again; what a great show. Clearly I would never make in the world of Network Programming (TM), 'cause for the life of me I can't figure out why Fox refused to air it.

Also, I'm pretty sure the extended guide data on the TiVo has the proper episode numbers.

oh geez. why the heck don't they even give us the pleasure of showing us those unaired eps, instead of showing us guys stuffing their faces full of hot dogs and elephants pulling airplanes?

No, it's because more people want to watch guys stuffing their faces full of hot dogs and elephants pulling airplanes than want to watch Firefly.
