Beginning Monday, 20th Century Fox will offer an exclusive preview of its upcoming movie "Daredevil" to TiVo customers. The promotion will extend to five movies throughout the year and potentially feature movie trailers, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.

Trailers are a good use (at least from the perspective of this customer) of the "advertisements" showing up on TiVO. I.e., one that I enjoy watching.

the supporting cast are going to save that movie. ben'lo was the worst choice ever for daredevil!

but yeah, this sounds awesome. i usually view new trailers online, it would be nice to watch them on my tv instead.

It would be even more swell if my TiVo didn't show me the promotions for these movies if it can't get the trailers!

My cable company runs infomercials on the Discovery (or whatever) channel in the wee hours instead of the TiVo stuff, so I get Star promotions but no viewable content.

One of the benefits I get from switching to Direct TV. Up to now, I never could see a promotion either.

Now I'm beginning to wonder if Direct TiVo's will get this promotion. After reading several posts in the Direct TiVo forum, it seems that Direct TV is no longer using the Discovery channel for downloads. Apparently the last download from that station was Jan. 26, as that is the last successful download listed. Later attempts were made at 5:30am but not listed as successful. Only time will tell.

Well, time has told. Dierct TiVo is back to successful download at Feb. 4 2:31 am. Haven't seen the Fox trailers yet.
