Hello again,

What is the difference between TIVO intro animations on all of the different TIVO models? Philips/Sony/Hughes/AT&T/DirecTV/Series2

I'm talking about the one you can access buy pressing TIVO and then the 0 button. Probably nobody has kept track or cares, but I was just curious? Does any website have it available to view or download?

I have read in one place on the net that the latest TIVO software release, version 3.2, has done away with the animation, is this true?

There aren't any differences. They all play the same animation. (At least all the SAs do, I'm not sure about the Series 2 DTiVos) {Only the UK TiVos do not have the animation, AFAIK}

My DTiVos loss the intro and my Series2 DTivo never had it. I heard only the Sony's kept it my mistake. :(

Biker - Your DTiVos loss the intro after upgrade 3.2?

I used to have one of the original Philips TiVo, and I recall it saying "Philips Presents TIVO" before it played the animation, so for each company does it say that company Presents? I would imagine so...

DTiVos have 3.1 while SA Tivos have 3.2

I think it stills has "Philips Presents"when you reboot. Otherwise it's directly to Directv Central.

Actually, the Sonys (at least the SVR-2000) have only the Sony logo at the beginning, no "presents TiVo."
