Hi everyone my frist post!
Anyways i have had tivo for about 3 years now(own three) and love it. When ever i hear someone talk about tivo i always chime in and say i love my tivo. My friend(he has a tivo because of me) always jokes to me about that.
On to the question. I have looked over the forrms and cant find a idiot's guide to setting up a Tivo Series 2 to a home network. I have a Linksys router and a linksys hub, a netgear wireless reciever(could never get a good signal from a linksys wireless reciever). What do i need to hook it all up so i dont have to dial in past the intial setup. I bought a netgear wireless usb adpater. Can someone please give me some info on what i need to get it to work. Thanks

If you have a series 2, all you need is a USB --> ethernet adapter. Here's a link to the how-to (but it is cake):

Current TiVo software only supports USB --> ethernet, it doesn't not have support for the USB --> wireless adapters. In the April timeframe, version 4.0 of TiVo's software is rumored to have built-in support for USB --> wireless adapters.
So you can spend the $10 now to get an adapter, and run Cat5 behind your Series 2, or you can wait a few months and probably get the equipment you already have to work.
