Is there a way to make the SVR-3000 quieter?

It has a buzz sound!!

Don't know if this will help, but when my SVR-2000 was installed it had the same buzz. Tracked it down to the ground connection where the disc lead came into the house. Disconnected it and no more buzz.

Must be a bad unit because Normally the sony is MUCH quieter then Tivo branded models. How long have you had your Sony? Perhaps you can have your retailer exchange it.

Yes, I've never heard anything from mine and if it is making a problematic noise, get it exchanged.
