I installed the YAC listener on my tivo, and it works fine on my PC and on the tivo when I first start it up (I start it manually when ever I reboot my tivo by telneting in and typing "yac &" but after a while it stops working on the tivo? I go to my pc and send a test call it comes up fine on the pc but not on the tivo??
Any ideas and help would be welcomed

Also when I start Yac at the telnet prompt it give a reply of:
[1] 157
a differant time it was:
[1] 159
any ideas what the 15x #'s are?

They're process IDs. If you have "ps" on the TiVo, you can check to see if that process is still running or has unexpectedly died by looking for that number in the list of processes.

what's "ps"??

Do you have any name subsitutions in Yac? If so, try removing them and see if your problem goes away. I had a problem with some special characters when they were sent to the Tivo.

no there are no subs, and were talking about the test message along with regular phone calls

"ps" is a Unix (read "Linux") command that displays information on all of the running processes. If you haven't explicitly transferred it to the TiVo, it probably isn't there, as I don't think they distribute it in the default image. I do believe, though, that I've seen a version that works on the TiVo and is available on the web, care of some of the folks here.

I am having the same problem as boomer8800. It works fine for 2 calls, then nothing. My Windows listeners and the server still show incoming calls.
Also, I did not see a call log file on the TiVo to assist w/debug. I have yet to run the YAC Listener in debug mode.
