Ok, so when someone from this board gets 2.5.1 without any NDA involved, can they post in this thread a definitive list of what is and isn't working hack-wise for standalones?

(I know the info has been hinted at and guessed upon and semi-leaked (maybe?) all over the place, but one location would be good - right here)

Specifically, is the /etc directory checked for changed files, invalidating things like tivomad, tivoweb, etc?
(Yes, all hacks will turn off during the upgrade.. I'm looking for comments from someone who has upgraded, rehacked their machine, and tried turning on ppp etc)

I imagine the unmentionable-here utilities have stopped working..

Details?

I'm within moments of upgrading a friend's TiVo. New Maxtor 100gig drive has been tested and is ready to go.

They just bought an HDR31204 (30 hour, 1 drive) and it has 1.3. Should I backup the 1.3 level, or wait for them to upgrade to 2.5 before backing up? I was planning on using TivoMad to backup the original 30gig drive to the new 100gig I bought, keeping the 30gig as the backup and putting the single 100gig drive back in. Will TivoMad work on 2.5?

What timing I have! I had them unplug the telephone cord when I saw this coming so I've got less than 2 weeks before they run out of data. Help!
