Tivo and Pace 510 Digital Cable box

I just installed Time Warner cable and they gave me a Pace 510 cable box. I cannot find an IR code that works with it. Does any one know one or how to make Tivo search through the codes for one?

I saw one reference to using the 00018 code for a Scientific Atlanta box.

Edit: Oh. That was you. Never mind

Pace Cable Boxes
Having trouble getting your Pace cable box to operate with your snazzy new learning universal remote control? Well, you might have one of Pace's infamous "IRDA" boxes. What happened is Pace, for their 1000 and 2000 series digital cable boxes, designed a remote control using a protocol not actually designed for remote control use. The IRDA variant they used was intended for high-speed data transfer over short distances (ie. from a laptop to a printer), rather than the slow-speed/long distance requirement of remote controls. The IRDA standard specifically includes a format for remote controls; Pace decided to ignore it.

The issue is that trying to learn such codes is much like asking an AM radio to receive FM signals - it simply isn't possible. At this time, the only remote controls that can offer even partial functionality are certain models from One For All. Even then you'll most likely have to ship the remote off to the factory in order for these codes to be added. TiVo is also apparantly releasing a converter for control of these devices. Rumor has it that the most current Pace models do use this problematic protocol; older Pace cables boxes are also not affected.
If you can't get it to work, ask TW for a different brand. If they balk at TiVo, just tell them you want it to work with your universal remote.

I've got the same exact box and was just told by Tivo Tech Support that the box isn't compatible and to "get another." Just wondering if you were able to get it working with some other code. Thanks.

I just got one of these from Time Warner also. My other boxes were Scientific Atlanta. TW supplied the same remote with the Pace box as they had for the SciAtl boxes. So i tried the same settings in my Tivo. Works fine by choosing Scientific Atlanta (not Pace). Can't recall the exact code I choose but 0049 fast sounds familar (might have been 47, it was forty something).
