Question Software of the Month Club (SOMC) - Opinions?

Does anyone belong to this club? Any good? Worth it?

My wife agreed to receive the 6 intro titles (which she picked) at a refundable cost of about $55. Of the 6 titles, there's really just one she had any real interest in, and she said she fully intended to send 'em all back. (Why she bothered to accept them, just to send them back, is a topic for another thread... )

The arrangement, I believe, is that we can send back any or all of the titles we've received for a refund. And every month, we'll get a new title in the mail, which we can keep (and be charged), or send back. Based on the initial shipment, it looks like each title could cost as low as about $15 (including S&H), but I'm not sure.

My gut tells me to un-join. A quick Google found the title above that my wife was interested in for $15 somewhere. My feeling is to find titles and buy them individually as needed, rather than be inundated with titles we don't want... On the other hand, maybe this club is worth it, especially for kids' titles.

Anyone else have an opinion (loaded question there, eh? )?

Thanks!

I would unjoin. They list "Dr. Seuss' ABC" as a newly available release (bought it for my kids about 3 years ago) and are charging 19.99 for it. This site has the same software for $5.
