Cheap Drive

Just ran across this: $50 80 gig drive. Is there any reason why this drive wouldn't work to upgrade a TiVo?

The Seagate Barracuda drives are good, quiet drives. They work fine in TiVo's

Time is money too. If you are going to bother cracking open your Tivo, at least go to 120GB. The Seagate drives also only have a 1 year warranty.

I'd go here and get a 120GB Samsung with a 3 year warranty for $89 shipped:

Make sure it has a FDB (Fluid dynamic bearing) vs ball bearing as they spin 24hrs a day the FDB lasts longer. Stick with 120, 80 is a waste of time.
