Talking Linklsys wireless B NIC with a Linksys wireless G router.

Hello. I have a Samsung Series 2 DirectTivo DVR. I also have a Linksys wireless network router that I current have on mixed mode. So, it in theory will transmitt at the B & G frequencies. Has anyone had any luck with a Linksys USB wireless B NIC using a Linksys wireless G router set to mixed mode. I would hate to have my network working at B only just to get the Tivo DVR on my network. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. i want to get some imput before i make any purchases.

Do you have a TiVo to do it with. It sounds like you have just a DTIVo which is incapable of using USB. Its ports are disabled. COme back in the fall when D* *might* have hmo for DTiVos.

Yep.. I have that setup with my Tivo Sries2 and don't have any problems or speed issues with anything else on the wireless network. Een using the HMO feature with JavaHMO and it works great!
