Outstanding install experience

You just read about so many negative stories, I thought I'd pitch in with a positive one.

I finally broke out the wallet for HD (not the tivo, the regular).... after hemming and hawing for a while, DTV threw in some discounts and programming credits and set up my install appointment. This was on Wednesday, they installed this morning.

The two guys were in my neighborhood, so they called me at work and offered me the chance to come home early and get everything installed. The appointment was for 1-5, but they ended up starting at 11:30 when I got home.

They ran some new cabling for me, replaced the 3 LNB portion of my dish (the old one had one corroded connector and part of the purchase is a whole new oval dish, so that worked well for me) installed the OTA antenna, connected everything...

All in all, they were very pleasant, professional and did a good job. They even realigned my dish, which was giving me signal strengths in the high 80s... it shows no lower than 97 on any transducer now. Awesome!

I am so pleased with HDTV... the samsung tuner looks a little goofy sitting on top of my DTiVo because it is wider, but I don't care.

yeah. its always good when you find the gem.
you could do a great service to the gentlement that hooked you up by just passing off an email or a note to their supervisors of the company they worked directly for (not DTV).
