What DVD-R Brand Do You Use with Your SuperDrive?

What DVD-R Brand Do You Use with Your SuperDrive? Anyone have a brand preference here? I need to snag some more. Last time, I got whatever the cheapest was on cdrecordable.com I believe, and I've used a pack of the Apple-branded ones.

Does the Pioneer SuperDrive in the FP G4 iMac and other machines like any more than others?

I bought a 25 pack from merit, no problems with them so far.

Mostly I've bought the Apple 5 pack (about 35 so far) with no coasters yet. They just lowered the price again if I'm not mistaken.

I have a Pioneer A04 (which is the same as the superdrive) and I buy either TDK or Memorex.

For awhile I have been using kHyperMedia's DVD-R's. Been getting them from MicroCenter for 5 for $5.00

I get them locally but they are available online also.

http://www.microcenter.com/single_p...duct_id=0147293

They have worked great on the Mac, PC and various set top DVD players. (Pioneer, RCA, Sony, Apex)

Apple-branded and TDK here without any problems so far.

Well, at least non-end user related problems...

I have a Sony DRU500 and I've used both Optodisc (Gold) and Ritek so far. The Optodiscs are problematic. No coasters but a lot of discs (probably 1/2 of about 25-30 burnt) produced have lots of CRC errors that cause players to choke and pause. The Riteks are better so far but I've only burnt about 10 so far. We'll see how the rest of them perform.

What brand are you buying from them?

What kind of luck have you had with them?

I bought some cheap DVD-R's from Meritline in the past an had pretty bad luck with them.

I could burn a movie of about 3GB or so, but anything past that would stutter on every DVD player I had access to.

I'm looking at am-dig.com's DVD-Rs.. and am realizing I have no clue what my iMac G4-800 15"'s superdrive is. Is it a 1x or 2x? I know it's not the 4x, cause the newest iMacs just started getting them.
