Default space for TiVo suggestions

Is there any way to make the TiVo reserve a part of the available space on the drive for TiVo suggestions? My problem is that I have a huge drive, but it's so full of old stuff that should eventually be automatically deleted, that it quickly runs out of space for TiVo suggestions, and instead of deleting my old stuff, it chooses to not record TiVo picks.

Another question, is there any way to mark recordings as "already viewed", so as to be able to know which programs i've already watched without having to remember the episode titles and/or read the descriptions.

i have an upgraded sony svr-2000, btw, and i think i've got version 3.0.

thanks a lot anyway. i wish they would add these two features on a future software release. it should not be too complicated to do. but then again... what the heck do i know?!?!?
