Looking for a good jewlery box with necklace hangers

I am looking for a nice jewelery box for my wife. The one feature I am looking for is that it be tall so she can hang her necklaces in there. We bought a cheap one at Walmart and the necklaces are too long to fit in there.

Any recommendations?

I've been searching for the same item for a *long* time. I want something very nice that will hold a lot of necklaces.

I found something once online that cost around $700.00. I wasn't willing to spend that much. It was beautiful, tho, and custom made.

Any of you crafty woodworkers wanna create something spectacular for us?

Jen

What is your budget? (I could design and make one for you if you want.)

I can easily justify a couple hundred $$. I have a real hard time with $700. And I think my wife would have a problem with that much too!

the Majestic Chest

This is the one I had my eye on.

It's about 18" tall, which is taller than I need, I suppose. I love that it's made out of purple heart wood. When my husband is on mission trips to Guyana, he always brings home something made out of purple heart. It's a beautiful wood.

I just bought a lovely box from Heartwood Creations after spending too much time detangling necklaces this spring. They have necklace hangers that enxtend into a pouch so that when you close the box, they stay in place. http://www.davlinswoods.com/heartwd.htm

I didn't may nearly that much, however. It appears that Heartwood Creations has begun auctioning off "factory seconds" at ebay, and I bought one from there. I have one of the Prarie models (IIRC) with one drawer and a pearl (tan) colored interior. It is beautiful, and I can't find the flaw.

I looked for a long time for a tall one, but couldn't fine one that suited me. So, the hooks with the pouch is working well.

I could make any of those. Just have to buy myself a planer (might get one by the middle of July.) I might be moving soon, so I can't commit, but I will contact you guys when time frees up.
