Question Deciding on a Hard Drive

I'm looking to upgrade my HDVR2 DirecTivo with two new hard drives. CompUSA has a Western Digital 160 GB drive for $99.99 and a Maxtor 120 GB drive for $80 (prices after rebates, sale ends 7/19). Both are 7200 rpm with 8 MB cache. Since the HDVR2 has a 137 GB limit, which drive makes the most economical sense? Also, is there anywhere with cheaper 120-160 GB drives?

Since the 160 will only yield 137MB, 10% more than a 120, the economics would appear to favor the 120. If you do choose the Maxtor I'd suggest running AMSET (downloadable from maxtor.com) and setting /QUIET mode while you're setting up -- seeks are inaudible in that mode, and with a 2MB or larger cache and 7200rpm there appears to be no problem keeping up with the video stream.
