Update Your BackUp?

I was wondering whether there is any reason at all to worry about the "freshness" of your MFS 2.0 TiVo backup?

I am not worried about Thumb Ratings or SPs...

I am mostly concerned about whether it is possible (at some point) where your Software Revision is considered so old, that the upgrade to the latest OS would not happen...

Both of my boxes are DirecTV units...

Should I be concerned, or just rest easy with my current back up files?

This has never been an issue to date, and we don't expect it to be one in the future.

It's not a bad idea, though. If you needed to restore (or wanted to restore) you wouldn't unduly tax TiVo's servers and incur them costs on their POPs with the extra-long dial-ins needed to re-update.
