OT: Toshiba DVD-R / Tivo Combo Question

Curious about the Toshiba (and other) DVD Recordable Tivo Combo units....

Does the menu option still say:
Save to VCR ?
or does it say
Save to DVD?
Save to Myself?
Save to something other then the hard drive?

Just curious:

Is it Friday yet?

The current Toshiba model can play dvds andnot burn them. Only the Pioneer Tivos can burn to dvd. You can pick either save to dvd or vhs.

If you're going to by the Pioneer, beware that the 80 hour model can only record about 12-13 hours of video at the highest setting (which is still not very good).

Nah, I was just curious if they updated the UI to reflect the DVD option.

1) This is off topic - should be in the Coffee House

2) There are some nice screen shots of the DVD recording process here: http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-v...764#post1447764 (though they don't show if the Save to VCR screen is still around).
