No! I don't believe there will ever be a unit that combines DirecTV with DVD-RW. Pressure from DriecTV's content partners as well as the DMCA will prevent it.
Also HDTV and DVD-RW won't work well together either. HDTV's bitrate (~20Mbps) is to high for conventional DVD players, and even if it wern't a standard 4.7GB DVD-RW disk would only hold about 30 minutes of HDTV which wouldn't be much use to anyone. Now a HDTiVo with a built in Blu-Ray DVD recorder might be another story.
