Tivo Customer Service Resolved my problem/ Forum Feedback
I just want to say despite a horrible experience with Tivo Customer Service
they made an incredible effort to resolve my problem. I am very grateful.
One other thing I'd like to mention is some of the Regulars on this forum seemed annoyed I had anything bad to say about Tivo. I don't think anyone on this Forum thinks Tivo is a bad product or company. I certainly don't. I made the post because at the time, my experience with Tivo customer service was horrendous. Often when we buy an amazing product, we expect every aspect of the company to work that way and hold them to a higher standard. Although Tivo is in my opinion the Cadillac of DVRs, its customer service is the Pinto of Customer Service Departments.
After speaking with Customer Service today, it is my understanding they are going to work very hard to improve policies and procedures. I believe in Tivo and would hate to see users scared away from a bad experience like mine. For the Forum Posters that want Tivo to succeed and only get bigger, they should keep an open mind to any legitimate Tivo related criticism. I'd like to think the outcome of my posting will be the result of a better company and product for consumers.
