USB DVD-R Option

Wouldn't it be great! You wouldn't have to shell out $1,200 for the Pioneer TiVo. Instead, you could just shell out $300 and plug it in to the USB. Then, instead of save to vcr option, save to DVD!

A USB Video capture device would also be a nice add on. You could download your latest home movies, and then burn it to DVD all within the TiVo!

You would need A: a DVD recorder with an HDD to buffer the data
(as USB 1.1 cannot pass data fast enough to effectively burn DVDs), or
B: Series 3, with USB2.0 or Firewire.
