DirectTV and Tivo Service, Need Both??

I already have a Tivo DVR with monthly Tivo Service. I just had DirectTv installed at my house. When I setup my old Tivo Series 2 to work with the DirectTV system, my old Tivo seems to pull channel information from the satellite box. So, my question is, do I still need to pay Tivo the monthly fee to get the programming guide, or can I now just use the DirectTV programming guide??
