Las Vegas 5/10 spoilers

In the past people have mentioned about all the skin that's put on this show for the sake of showing skin. I paid attention last night and your statements are apparently (or transparently) valid that was a lot of skin. And our best buddy detective valet was right at the forefront of the action. I don't think he even parked one car last night! How's he going to make all those tips? He needs a promotion to plainclothes or something. The valet thing is pretty lame these days.

Also how he knew there was only 1 oz of c4 is amazing. I guess he could see there were no wires leading around back of the guy's jacket etc. Then again, that neato xray that showed all the wires in every person would have caught it eventually. The laser dot thing on the ceiling was waaay far outta there even for this show. Totally stupid.

Nikki's dressed sucked and she wasn't hanging out as much as she usually is, for once. But I did like Sam's dress a lot. There must have been a different camera angle because I never realized how much taller Danny is than Ed. Damn he's short. Also the story line how people sneaked into , would be sneaking into the concert, was beat to death too much. Every single person made a comment about the good ole days etc. once would have been enough.

I loved how it ended with the bomber getting cuffed to the other bomber. True poetic justice. I'll keep watching if not to see the new places they put up.

The one thing I don't get is if they spiked the 'girlfriends' drink and she was passed out in her apt., why would the 1st guy expect her at work? I guess maybe he wasn't part of spiking her drink?

There's no point nitpicking the plot. There IS no plot. Just fun 'n skin.

The second bomber was the one that spiked the drink and mastermined the whole thing. He was just using the first guy and his stupidity to get the bomb into the hotel and create a diversion to plant the second bomb, he didnt really care about the guy, and most certainly didnt want to split his 4 million from the cage with him.

Lame episode, but I really enjoyed the scenes around the pool.

The whole bomb segment "diffused" so quickly, I'd think someone with his rap sheet wouldn't make a bit more of a stink, even with one of the bombs cuffed to him. Plenty of Nessa made up for the holes in the plot though.

Yes, the plot was one of the worst yet.

But I guess you have to add some type of "bomb might go off and blow people up" story to strengthen the plot of "opening day at the pool".

Which hotel in Vegas is used for the pool scenes? Looks like a pretty darn nice pool, but I doubt the scenery is as nice. I've never been swimming in Vegas, I stupidly thought I was there for gambling.

[edit to correct typo, even though it has alreayd been quoted. :::Sigh:::]

Well the huge wave pool they showed is the Mandalay Bay.....oh...and the scenery is really that nice. Especially at the Hard Rock.

They use Mandalay Bay as the stand-in for the Montecito.

So, When the trigger got cuffed to the guy with the bomb on his belt, couldn't he have just reached over and pulled the wire (he knows which ones... he wired it ) and THEN push the button and blow the *other* bomb to create enough diversion to get away ???

In fact, I'm not sure I follow why that guy was wired in the first place ? Also, BIG RISK grabbing a guys hand and surprising him from behind. They are lucky he didn't accidentally mash the button and blow them all away!

*rolleyes*

BUT there's all the eye candy that keeps bringing us back!

the point of the bomb on the guy at the BJ table was to create a diversion so the other guy could blow up the back of that safe room.

Right, but why would it be able to be *actually * detonated ? I mean, I'm sure they made it REAL cuz they knew they would test for it but, beyond that, what's the point of making it ABLE to be detonated ...??

The DIVERSION was the fact that he was there with it in the first place..

My wife hit the nail on the head when we were watching on Monday. Las Vegas is the abreviated title of this show. Its actually "Bay Watch: Las Vegas"

With that understanding I can now watch it with the apropriate mindset.

The diversion was supposed to be the explosion of the bomb on the casino floor; the money bomb would go off at the same or soon after, but everyone would be reacting to the bomb (and deaths) in the casino.

I know some dislike it, but I enjoy the show. Yes, I like ogling Vannessa Marcil and Nikki Cox, but I enjoy the back and forth between Danny and Ed. James Caan is always fun to watch.

To some degree, the show is fluff, but it's enjoyable fluff in the vein of Fastlane.... which I also enjoyed.

The only thing that gets me, and I hope they explain it next season, is how the freakin' valet knows so damn much!

Otherwise, I'm thrilled this show got picked up for next season.

He is an Engineering grad from, I think MIT or some other prestigious school. They've brought it up a few times about why he works there and he always says he makes a lot more as a valet and has more fun than he would being an engineer.

Did anyone else notice that in one of the camera flyovers of the strip, Excalibur and Luxor weren't in the right places? I had to rewind a couple of times, but they are not where they are actually located.

Getting rid of Danny next week, I suspect the Valet(????) will get phased out shortly, then the show will be James Caan and 5 or 6 young big breasted women. Why didn't they just make him the manager of a Hooters?
