dead hard drive recoveryfrom second drive

I have a s0ny t-160 with two 120 gb harddrives. the maxtor drive had bearing failure and i still have the western digital 120jb that was the a drive. Due to the cause of the failure , they were not dismounted. Is there any software out there that will let me install the drive on my computeer and extract the shows i want to save. One is Laughin's Valentine's Day show. I have suse linux 9.0 and windows 2000 available as operating systems. Or am I up the creek without a paddle

It is not clear to me which drive died. Your title implies that it was the A (first) drive that died, but your text says it was the B that died. If it was the A that died, you indeed have no paddle. If it was the B that drive, you may or may not have a chance. Do a Google search on "a tivo drive in a pc" and you will see some references to what you are looking for. (This sort of thing is not allowed to be discussed in this forum.)

Don't get your hopes up....
