Alter preferences (a la TeachTivo) through Bash prompt?

Hi:

I know TeachTivo was a short-lived feature that vanished with 3.0, but I'm wondering whether anyone has figured out how to tweak the suggestions database (from the Bash side?) on a Series 1?

I feel like an old version of TivoWeb had a way to view the info, but not a way to adjust it. Any progress out there?

My love of the Simpsons has led to Tivo reflexively recording every animated program that comes across the airwaves.
