Automated recording on TiVo

So, I'm screwing around with make WAPTivo faster, and one of the worst things is the fact that the automated recording is done using sendkey sequences. So I'm trying to write a tcl script that does it by modifying the DB directly. When I try to do an mfs link, I get an assert at AuditDerivedAttributes, line 610 and my tivo reboots with no objects created. Any ideas as to what this could be. I'm not creating the index objects, as I hoped that would be done for me. If anyone wants the script so far, it's available at http://www.piels.com/waptivo/createRecording.tcl.
