Question anyone using DirectTV PPV data with a Sony TiVo?

I had a report of an issue with the DirectTV PPV information running on a Sony TiVo. I am going to try and solve the problem for this, but I wanted to know if anyone else has tried to upload the data into a Sony box and has success or problems. Since I don't own a Sony TiVo I am going to be doing this in the dark.

I have a Sony standalone unit. Backed-up v1.3, put a 40g Maxtor in it, blessed it, and had been reading your thread re: importing PPV guide data.
-Wanted to do it. When I plugged it in and made a call, it updated to v2.01! (what timing!) Now I can't get in the dss port?

I'd be glad to try but v2 may have put the locks on me????

-Very savvy on hardware and windows, new to linux.....

Let me know if ya need a "beta tester".

I use your DTV PPV data. It works ok. Every now and
then it acts funny. One thing I wish to see in the
future is listing shows that are in Letterbox and
digital dolby. If I find something I want to buy,
I still have to go to the regular guide to pick the
better version. I can help you with some troubleshooting
though.

shondss has been removed in v2.0.1. The only way to re-enable ppp-over-DSS is to pull the drive and mount it in another box so you can hack into it with DBD or some pre-existing linux box.

And stating the obvious, you can also gain serial shell access by adding the statement at the end of the rc.sysinit as documented in the hack FAQ. You will have to hook the TiVo drives up to a PC to accomplish this, of course.

Also, has anyone else seen any different behavior in the shell (regarding the display attributes)? I don't seem to get the proper CRLF in my telnet session now.
