Does your remote do this?

Why does the Tivo remote have to send two pulses when controlling the TV volume.Means my telly volume goes up and down two (on screen) blocks at a time.Too loud or quiet, can never get it quite so..................

soond like you have the common "double press" problem with the remote, you need to take it apart and clean the contacts, instuctions found in the sticky notes. Alturnativly if still under warrentee call CS and they will send you another one

It is probably just that the Tivo remote is sending the volume code a little longer than the TV's remote and the TV interprets this as 2 increments. I don't think there's any cure.
