My God, it's full of fuzzy stars . . .
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this:
Do you see fuzzy blocks (digital artifacts) around objects in real life after staring at a bad digital video image?
I have at best a crappy cable connection (Mediaworks cable) coming into my apartment. Some channels are excellent, most are so-so, a few are horrid - dark picture, lots of static, ghosting. As these horrid channels play shows I enjoy I've been watching a lot of Tivo recorded shows in High Quality which are drenched in artifacts. This is of course ultimately not the Tivo's fault but a crappy cable signal.
Today, while staring out a window overlooking a freshly mowed field, the lines created by the mower momentarily reminded me of the digital artifacts. I actually began seeing artifacts around the field, and eventually around buildings. This only last about 30 seconds and wasn't constant. But it was spooky nonetheless.
Has anyone else experience this?
