Modem to Modem ppp and daily call. Anyone?

This is a breakout thread, of the serial ppp and daily call thread. I'm curious if anyone has actually been able to get modem(tivo) to modem (PC connected to broadband connection) working? If so could you please state how, post hints. There are a few of us trying this route for various reasons. And I would really like to do it this way. So please don't post just to say "use serial ppp."
